Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using SpeakTranslate AI ("the App"), you ("user", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), a binding agreement between you and [Developer legal name — fill in before submission] ("we", "us", "Developer"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of the service

SpeakTranslate AI provides real-time voice translation and AI-generated meeting summaries. Speech recognition and translation are performed by our server using Groq's API. Text-to-speech playback happens locally on your device.

2. Accounts

You sign in using a passwordless "magic link" sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. You must provide an accurate email address and may not share your account with others.

You may permanently delete your account at any time from within the App via Settings → Profile → Delete Account, without needing to contact us. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after deletion.

5. No warranty on translation accuracy

Translations and summaries are machine-generated and may be incorrect, incomplete, or contextually inappropriate. Do not rely on the App for medical, legal, financial, or emergency communications without independent human verification, for safety-critical situations, or for contractually binding interpretations.

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, except where prohibited by applicable law.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including any inaccuracy in translations or summaries.

7. Intellectual property

The SpeakTranslate AI name, logo, and original UI design are the property of the Developer. The App is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store's usage rules.

8. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge the following, which apply between you, us, and Apple Inc. ("Apple"):

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account and/or uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, or any feature, at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8 survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the App on next launch. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where Section 8 (Apple-specific terms) or local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

This document includes the minimum terms Apple requires when a developer uses a custom End User License Agreement instead of Apple's Standard EULA (per the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, Schedule 2), and the auto-renewable subscription disclosures required by App Store Review Guideline 3.1.2.
